The FCC Hotel & Restaurant has always served as Siem Reap’s primary place to relax after a day of exploring the temples. Cambodian afternoons can get hot, and climbing ancient temples can get tiring. At the end of it all, food and refreshment are necessary nourishment for the body and spirit. FCC sits between the center of Siem Reap and the trail to Angkor ready with these services in mind.

Renovated from the French former governor’s mansion, The FCC Angkor occupies a central place in Siem Reap history. The building itself is a monument to provincial fortunes.

In earlier times, Siem Reap counted just a trickle of visitors. The focus then was on great food and serving a little bit of luxury to travelers weary after long days of tomb raiding. As the number of visitors increased, so did expectations. People wanted a place to stay and some care and pampering. The hotel rooms and Visaya Spa grew from those requests.

Today the fortunes of Siem Reap show no sign of waning. The town attracts more visitors every year. A burgeoning dining and entertainment industry is growing to serve them. That means greater choices for visitors and more opportunity for locals. Set against the backdrop of Angkor Wat, it promises a landscape where great storytelling and exploration can continue.
